SiGarden at the OGTF in Amsterdam
20 kwiecień 2011SiGarden, the innovative design house and provider of advanced embedded boards and modules that are used in industrial automation, healthcare and in the army or civil service power as well, presented two devices, the XT-110 tablet PC and the SiGaPC-14X at the 2nd International Oil and Gas Technology Forum (OGTF) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. OGTF in April included keynote presentations and workshops delivered by leading industry experts as well as focused schedule of pre-arranged business meetings between the buyer and supplier companies. At the OGTF SiGarden had meetings with representatives of some of the major companies in this market including Shell and Caterpillar. During these meetings SiGarden presented two devices, the XT-110 tablet PC and the SiGa PC 14 X. Both devices received good initial reviews and further communication is ongoing.

SiGarden is also the only Polish member of a prestigious Software Partner Program, Intel Embedded Alliance. In the years 2008-2010 the company received subsidies from EU funds for investment projects related to the development of innovative solutions.
The first of the devices presented by SiGarden on Oil & Gas Technology Forum is XT-110 – a modern, industrial mobile tablet with reinforced construction designed to operate in demanding environmental conditions. It is enclosed in an ultra tough magnesium alloy cast body, resistant to drops, vibration, shocks, water and dust. It can be used in temperatures of up to +60°C to below -20 °C and meets IP65 and MIL-STD 810G standards. XT-110 is supplied with Windows 7 or Linux and gives the users of the device option to use a combination of desktop functionality and mobility, which gives the tablet. The device has a built-in numeric keyboard and enhanced wireless connectivity (GMS/UMTS, GPS, WLAN, Bluetooth), its 7-inch screen is covered with a reinforced glass with an integrated touch panel. Tablet XT-110 is quiet and has a built-in Intel® Atom™, which provides low power consumption.
SiGarden also had the opportunity to boast about his SiGaPC-14X, industrial computer adapted for reliable operation in extreme climatic conditions, both heat and cold (extended temperature range from -40 to +75°C). At SiGaPC-14X can be running Windows or Linux. Despite its small size the device gives the user the ability to mount inside a USB key (eg. HSDPA module). This computer is designed for mounting on walls, in cabinets or distribution measurements. The Intel® Atom™ processor provides low power consumption of the device.
The SiGarden company was established in 2008 by former developers of IT solutions, with 10 years of experience working at Intel Poland. Since then the company has launched several projects, boards and systems based on Intel Atom architecture. SiGarden helps to build the highest quality, low power and reliable computing systems dedicated for use in harsh environment.
The majority shareholder SiGarden is a Business Angel Seedfund sp. z o.o. S.K.A., seed capital fund, which finances the development of innovative enterprises in the early stages of development. The fund was tied by Maciej Grabski and Jacek Kawalec – creators of success of Wirtualna Polska portal, and Jedrzej Wittchen – the founder and main shareholder of the Wittchen S.A. company, a leader in luxury leather goods, and Maciej Duda – co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Polish Meat Concern Duda SA.
